About the apartment

A privately owned & much loved apartment in the lovely seaside village of Es Grau, Menorca, surrounded by a wonderful nature reserve (Albufera d'es Grau) with stunning inland saltwater lakes. Please note that Es Grau is not a holiday resort as such; it is just a quiet Menorquin fishing village, perfect for relaxing holidays and only 10/15 minutes from the airport by car.

The Mediterranean (Balearic Sea) is just a few steps away from the apartment building and the village is right next to the beach.

The apartment is situated in a very quiet residential area in the village, with no passing traffic. The local shop, restaurant and bars are all just a 2 or 3 minute walk away.

The accommodation is very well equipped and has a long sea facing terrace, which is great for alfresco dining and watching the boats come and go.

On the roof, there is a large terrace/solarium which has a wonderful view of the bay, a great place to sit and watch the sun go down.

There are three bedrooms in the apartment, a modern shower room, a well-equipped, up to date fitted kitchen (new for 2012) with electric hob, eye level oven & microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster etc.

Also, there is a television with Spanish & basic Sky TV, and Radio/CD player. A selection of books, games and CD's. Fans are supplied for hot days. There's an iron and ironing board and a cold box is supplied for picnics & supermarket shopping.

This lovely apartment is our home in Menorca (not just a holiday let) and we hope that you enjoy your holiday there, just as much as we do!

Es Grau

Es Grau Village offers four places to eat out, there is a waterfront restaurant 'Tamarindos' and it is open for lunch and dinner.

The Beach bar 'Bar Es Grau' serves Pizza & Sandwiches (Plus Take away Pizza) a perfect location to sit and enjoy a cold beer in the shade of the Tamarind trees.

A Waterfront Tapas bar 'Cafeteria Es Moll' (This bar is famous for its grilled Sardines) and has a most spectacular view of Es Grau bay.

New this year (2012), 'Bar Ca'n Bernadet' Serving Tapas & Meals plus Paella, which must be ordered a day in advance. Also, this bar has Wi-Fi Internet access for clients, and will open all year round.

For those who love the speciality Menorquin cuisine at 'Ca'n Bernat d'es Grau' it has moved to the old 'San José' farmhouse restaurant which is on the left going north on the Fornells road from Mahon. The building and car park are set back from the road, look for the sign 'Ca'n Bernat d'es Grau'

There is also a fully stocked Mini Market and a cute little Gift shop.

(English, German and French newspapers are stocked in the Mini Market).

During the summer season in Es Grau, you can take a trip on the water taxi to the Island of Collom. Pedlos, kayaks and sailing dinghys are available for hire on the beach. Kayaks and bicycles can also be hired from the kayak school shop (please note that this website is in Spanish!).

Mahon Harbour is just 10 minutes away by car, where you will find a fantastic choice of Waterfront Restaurants, Bars and Shops open until late.
